PRIMARY ACTING
Primary Acting is a full-scale theatrical production
Grades 2-7,
A combination of theatre skills development and performance, Primary Acting is a full-scale theatrical production, culminating in several public performances. It takes students through the entire process from auditions, the rehearsal process, character development, direction, costume fittings, publicity and performance, culminating in public performances.

This class is for students wanting to begin their acting journey.
Improvisation and ensemble skills, script and scene work, Vocal projection, vocal expression and more complex stage-craft.
Students Learn confidence building through fun ensemble Drama activities.
Acting Up Musical Theatre - The sound of music
Jr PERFORMING ARTS
Do you want to be a TRIPLE THREAT?
Musical Theatre classes give students an all-round grounding in the three disciplines: singing, dancing and acting.
Our Jr Performing Arts class (ages 5-11) gives students experience in all aspects of performance.
This quick paced class teaches performance confidence with students engaged in acting, movement, singing, choreography, character work and even hip-hop dancing! A great place to start.
The mixture of both live stage performance and film work prepares them for both the performance industry and to hit the outside world brimming with confidence.

SENIOR ACTING
The opportunity to delve deeper
Grade 7-12
A weekly workshop gives our senior students the opportunity to delve deeper into the craft of acting. Focusing on building stage confidence through stagecraft skills: direction, technique, vocal projection, acting a role, script analysis, vocal skills, physical theatre, ensemble skills and theatre etiquette. Experiencing the joy of working as a team to create the magic that is theatre.
Senior Acting takes students on a complex journey culminating in full-scale theatrical productions and several public performances.

FILM & TV PRODUCTION
Being comfortable, confident and natural on screen
Students from a range of classes will have film opportunities through the year.
Being comfortable, confident and natural on screen is a skill for everyone in the digital age and the screen skills and on-set terminology and etiquette taught in this class will have students set-ready and confident as well as learning the acting craft.

Acting Up! Youth Theatre Academy is my daughters’ other family. The classes and workshops they attend are filled with positive energy, fun, teamwork and friendship and are their favourite parts of the week.
